I'm originally from the Midwest and currently planted on a small farm in Wisconsin. My week days are spent working at the Field Museum in Chicago.  A few days a week, I am a research assistant for a mammalogist, working on a project that deals with Philippine fauna and island evolution. The other few days of the week,  I work in the Bird prep lab, preparing study skins, helping out in the collection, & occasionally learning traditional taxidermy methods.

Nights and weekends I try to work with my hands as much as possible. My background is in printmaking (weak knees for litho and etching) and scientific illustration.

I dig camping, bird watching, mischief, pretty much any and every critter, copious amounts of tea, old illustrations, bodies of water, intricate work, and the open road.
